Coach Djoufack Saturnin says the exhibition match between his former academy products and a Southwest based selection was to celebrate Best Stars Academy achievements and how far they have come.
A cream of some of the club finest exports showed flashes of their undoubted natural talents to hundreds of adoring fans.
With each taking turns to remind the club devoted faithful of what they are missing.
Amongst them former captain Jih Kelvin of Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, Otia Paul of Union Popular de Langreo, Ewange Stephen of Caen, Ofon Fabrice of Inter Soccer de Madrid and Ernsten Lawsamba of Granada in Spain.
The exciting game saw the Southwest selection tutored by former Victoria United title winning gaffer Joseph Mbock Maput held to a 2-2 draw by Best Stars Academy Professional side.
Best Stars Academy have become a talent factory since its creation in 2007.
Most of its football exports have earned rave reviews with Mainz midfielder Pierre Kunde Malong now one of the most sought after youngsters in world football.
The former Best Stars Academy utility player is part of Coach Clarence Seedorf side taking part at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The growing demand for players at the club has made Best Stars Academy a center of reference and Coach Djoufack Saturnin believes it’s time to take stock and celebrate the academy rise to prominence.
