Cameroon midfielder Pierre Kunde Malong is a success story for the model and his exploits on the international stage has inflated the profile of Best Stars Academy, Coach Djoufack Saturnin painted the picture Saturday on the sidelines of the maiden edition of the Pierre Kunde Malong U14 Soccer mania in the City of Limbe.
” It’s too premature to celebrate our success. What’s important is to celebrate the hardworking Kunde Malong for the impact he has created thus far. As an academy we still have a long to go and Kunde represent that hope” Djoufack Saturnin said.
Host Best Stars, Cinyondev, Njalla Quan Sports academy and Anafoot Limbe are the academies taking part in the tournament.
The best player of the tournament will henceforth be sponsored by Pierre Kunde Malong
To continues to breed athletes for the most lucrative leagues in the world’s richest sport, Coach Djoufack feels it’s important to keep the production line moving so that the club continues to punch above its weight.
” It’s a lottery for players to make the grade and Kunde Malong who has made it through should be celebrated as he represent hope and inspiration too many” he added.
While many have left the club for greener pastures, the bonanza arrived following signing of the Cameroon international by Mainz in the German Bundesliga.
Ever since Scouts and agents have knocked at the doors of Best Stars academy and Coach Djoufack Saturnin said the ongoing U14 tournament is a servant to that need.
Pierre Kunde Malong is the first player from Best Stars Academy to sign a professional contract in Europe since its creation.
