By Dean Mongo Eyieh

Striker Ngweh Beckley was on target for Lifca as they narrowly edge Continental FC of Buea 1-0 to Kickstart their Southwest Regional league playoffs in style.

Twice the boys of President Tchio Thomas came close to opening the scoring in the second half but they were quilty of near misses.

Continental Fc themselves had couple of half chances to trouble the highly spirited Limbe based giants but keeper Ebere Festus was far from being troubled all day.

The moment of redemption came ten minutes from time when striker Ngweh Beckley powered home with the goal at his mercy

It was a cagey affair in the first half and chances were few and far between and went they came coach Agbor Ernest charges lacked the cutting edge in the final third.

Continental gave Lifca a late scare when striker Robert Koneyi couldn’t make meaningful contact with the ball after he was brilliantly served.

Lifca held their nerves to kickoff their campaign at the Southwest regional league playoffs with a win.
