Newly promoted Southwest Regional League club HO Acadamy FC of Buea’s main objective is to make the Southwest Region proud, says Coach Serge Bokagne.

The coach of HO Academy FC was speaking in Tiko after his side picked one of the tickets to represent the region at the round of 32 of the Cup of Cameroon.

Going by the coach, although the playoffs of the Cup of Cameroon were like  “official friendlies” to the club, they will, however, give in their best to make the region proud.

“The preliminaries for the Cup of Cameroon for us were like “official friendlies” since our main objective is to qualify for League Two. We are going to give our best to see that we go far in the Cup of Cameroon and make the Southwest Region proud.

In regards to their opponents after they lost to post-match penalties, coach Bokagne appreciated the efforts of his players.

“My players played well and since we knew Options SA have a great side, we had to prepare better. We gave our best to stop them from organising the game and I will say am so proud of my players,” Bokagne averred.

He also said he was positive that the clubs that have qualified to represent the region will create surprises.

“Southwest clubs will cause an upset in the Cup of Cameroon looking at the level I saw in the Cup of Cameroon playoffs in the region,” he said.
