HO Academy FC’s midfielder Ange Essama believes his side’s defeat to Buea United FC in their opener was as a result of too much confidence.
He believes that their success in the Cup of Cameroon playoffs rather worked on their disadvantage as they came to the game full of so much confidence. The highly-rated HO Academy side was lead 2-0 by Buea United FC and they could only reduce the tally to 2-1.
“I think we came into this game full of so much confidence and this affected us greatly. We approached the game differently not as we used to do and this is because we took it lightly.
We only realised ourselves when they were already leading us 2-0 but we managed to pull one back. However, we will continue working harder as there are still other games ahead,” Essama explained.
