HO Academy FC of Buea edged Buea United FC 1-0 in matchday 6 in Pool A of the ongoing Southwest Regional Championship that took place over the week.
An early goal from Jason Mial at the 4th minute couldn’t be equalised by Buea United FC as they experienced their second defeat in the season.
For HO Academy FC, it was their second victory in the championship and their coach Serge Bokagne believes they have mastered the championship thanks to the two weeks break.
“We have realised that the championship is more physical and combative. There are so many duels involved and we also realised that we lacked a fighting spirit.
“However, we used the two weeks break to work on these and am confident we shall put on a good fight this time,” Coach Bokagne said.
The first leg of the game has seen Buea United FC carrying the day after beating HO Academy FC 2-1 in the first game of the season.
In another encounter still in Pool A, Continental FA extended their winning streak after walloping Dynamic FC 5-0 to maintain their 100 percent success record.
They are first with 15 points and are closely followed by Buea United FC with 9 points, HO Academy FC 6 points, Prisons FC 4 points and Dynamic FC with just a point.
