The management of Cameroon League One side, Yong Sports Academy, YOSA, has expressed satisfaction after the club’s recruitment exercise that took place on Friday, July 26, at the Limbe Centenary Stadium.
The exercise was the first of its kind conducted by the club in the Southwest Region in its 15 years of existence. The recruitment saw 45 players from close to 15 clubs in the Southwest Regional League showcasing their talent in front of the management of the Northwest Region-based club.
Speaking after the exercise, the Personal Assistant to the President of YOSA, Magellan Su, said they were satisfied with the talents shown by the players.
“I have seen wonderful players here today and in terms of the level, it was an impressive one. We had to shortlist of 15 players from the close to 50 players who answered present,” Magellan Su stated.
The recruitment, organised by YOSA National Fan Club President, Denis Mbole, saw the selection of 15 players by the Under-23 Lions of Cameroon Assistant Coach, Kenneth Sampabum Sama.
Also present at the selection to give moral support to their players were Club Presidents; Karl Mokake (ISOHSA), Valery Kadji and Gaston Ngu, President and Team Manager of Buea United FC, respectively.
Some coaches in the Southwest Region were also present at the selection ground to motivate their players.
The 15 players selected will travel to Bamenda where they will join others for the final selection as the club looks ahead to achieving its goals of winning the championship and the Cup of Cameroon in the 2019/2020 football season.
The players selected from seven clubs in the Southwest Regional League are: Felix Nomen Mbia, Jimmy Djokam, Bertrand Epoge Epoge, Ngeh Beligine, Bibish Abane, Namse Kelson, Samuel Enoh, Abang Tiku, Adolf Sama, Moses Itua, Kingsley Ashu, Boris Kache, Randin Donhda, Robert Mbongkah and Hoshala Besumbu.
