Liverpool faithful and one of the backbone of the 2019 edition of the Middle Farms Dust Field interquarters football frenzy has revealed that he can’t wait for next year.
Choh Lawrence whose significant inputs and that of Derek Sakwe Ndinde have raised the profile of the competition believes there is a sense of optimism going forward after watching intriguing and high definition football at the just concluded tournament.
Backyard Fc were crowned champions of this year’s competition after seeing off stubborn opposition Infinitive Carrefour 2-0 to claim the 700,000frs prize money on Saturday.
The runners up received 500,000frs while the third placed team backed home 250,000frs with Choh Lawrence also donating most of the individual prizes.
” We have just started a long journey and the is a sense of positivity going into the future. Not only did we watched tantalizing moments of football we were richly blessed by the huge turn out on match days and we can only pray that the blue moon keep rising” Choh Lawrence has noted
” To some of this us this competition represent a lot and if every moment was a good as today was then we can wait for tomorrow to come” he added
The priority now according to Choh Lawrence is to leave a lasting legacy by introducing innovations that will better the competition and make it the biggest in the Limbe municipality.
He insists the goal is not to gain cheap points but his undying romance with the sport he so much love.
