PreseasonTour: Buea United FC Beat Tiko Selection

Aouthwest Regional League side, Buea United FC on Wednesday, December 4 edged Tiko Selection 1-0 in a friendly encounter as part of their preseason tour.

The boys of Coach Emmanuel Agbor put on a splendid performance as they took on the Tiko Selection in their back yard at the Tiko Town Green Stadium.

Mounting pressure as they enjoyed a good possession of the game in the first segment of the game, the visitors squandered a series of chances.

The first quarter of the game will see Buea United being wasteful in front of goal as goalkeeper Chibuzoh of the Tiko Selection made several saves to deny Buea United the curtain-raiser.

Building play from the back four under the command of Jimmy Njokam who returned to the squad after two weeks camp with the Intermediate Lions, the defender put on a splendid performance to show his side what they have been missing.

The deadlock will finally be broken at the 44th minute when Amih Renzo headed home to keep goalkeeper Chibuzoh helpless as the ball kissed the back of the net to give Buea United the lead.

When play resumed in the second stanza, it was the Tiko Selection that dominated a better part of the game.

However, the resilient back four of Buea United FC refused to crack.

Goalkeeper Milton Elone was called into action several times as he made saves to deny the home side the equaliser.

The game ended with Buea United beating Tiko Selection 1-0 as they maintained their unbeaten record in Tiko.
