Isle Of Hope Sports Academy, ISOHSA, needed penalties to beat Fako League side Istanbul Football Academy of Buea, IFAB, in the Southwest Preliminary round of the Cup of Cameroon on a tense morning at the Tiko Town Green Stadium.

 

Nick Afafa Nlend put the Southwest Regional League side ISOHSA ahead with a low strike at the 33rd minute but it was cancelled at the 48th minute after Bertivert Adeidong strike from outside the box to give his side the much-awaited goal.

 

The goal brought Istanbul back into the game but they, however, failed to make good use of their chances as both sides will be separated only after penalties.

 

Ironically, it was the game changer Elvis Nangeri that saw his penalty stopped by goalkeeper Imoh James Federick.

 

ISOHSA

With Istanbul failing to score twice and ISOHSA once, it was ISOHSA that carried the day 6-5 after seven penalties were taken by each of the sides.
