When Victoria United FC aka OPOPO will face newly promoted Southwest Regional League side Hiliare Onana Academy on Sunday, January 26 at the Tiko Town Green Stadium, it promises to be full of fireworks.

It will be the first time these two sides are meeting and the Team Manager of Victoria United FC, Defang Nelson believes expectations are high for both sides.

“We are well prepared for the game. HO Academy is a new side that just qualified for the

Regional League and I’m sure their aspirations are high just like ours. Just like us, they also want to play out of the region and progress as far as possible,” Defang stated.

Victoria United FC beat another Buea side Prisons Buea 2-0 to book their ticket in the next round of the Cup of Cameroon. Meanwhile, HO Academy had an easy ride against neighbours Dynamic FC as they thrashed them 4-0.

It will be a ticklish one for both Coach Joseph Mbock Maput of Victoria United FC and Coach Serge Bokagne of HO Academy as they meet for the first time.
