HO Academy Is In Southwest To Stay-Scribe

The Secretary-General of Hilaire Onana Academy Football Club, Njanjo Paul Mabe has put an end to reports that the Southwest Regional League club is in Buea temporary.

He was speaking after they have been reports by some rumour mongers that the club is a Douala club that is in the Southwest Region just to gain promotion and relocate back to Douala.

Hear him: “HO Academy is a Southwest based club. I will like to use this opportunity to put an end to rumours that the club is a Douala based club. HO Academy is in the Southwest Region and it is based in Buea.”

HO Academy took part in the 2018/2019 Fako Divisional League where they gained promotion into the Southwest Regional League.

They have been drawn in Pool A of the Southwest Regional Championship and have begun writing their name in the annals of Southwest football.

Beginning with the Preliminaries of the Cup of Cameroon in the Southwest, the club thrashed Dynamic FC 4-0 in the first round and also edged Victoria United FC 3-2 in the second round. They have been drawn to play Tiko United FC in the third round of the competition.

Despite all these, the Secretary-General Njanjo says though newcomers; they have big ambitions and are determined to fly the flag of the Southwest region high.

“We are determined to work harder to see that we bring glory to the region. That, we will do gradually and steady as time unfolds,” Njanjo said.

The club is made up of talented teenagers who are ready to make history and they have been using the Cup of Cameroon playoffs games to send a signal.

With the club’s success so far, the club’s head coach Serge Bokagne says they remain calm and work harder. He continues it’s because they know that there are big guns in Southwest football and it will be a tough task to represent the region.
