The Coach of Nkamanyi Football Initiative, Ndoke Ngoh, attributes his side’s defeat to Istanbul FA in the final round of the Cup of Cameroon to the fact that his players were not used to playing in a turf like the one at the Molyko Omnisport Stadium.
The Kumba based club saw their hopes of representing the Southwest Region at the Round of 32 in the Cup of Cameroon dashed as they were humiliated 3-0.
Speaking at the game, Coach Ndoke Ngoh said his players could not play well on the green turf since it was strange to them. This he believes worked in favour of the Buea based club Istanbul FA.
Hear him: “My players are not used to this type of field. You know what we are using in Kumba is not like what we played on today so it was strange to my players.
“We also played against a more experienced side. However, we tried our best but there was no way.
We also squandered a lot of chances and we paid the price. However, we will go back to Kumba and continue to work harder.”
