Created some a few months ago and one of the three teams to represent the region in the Cup of Cameroon, Istanbul Football Academy of Buea, IFAB, will have to take the cup form into the Fako Divisional League.

This will be when they face Babungo Sports Academy on Sunday, February 16 at the Molyko Omnisport Stadium in the season opener.

This will be the first official meeting between both sides as they look forward to beginning the season.

The last time both sides met was in the AE Sports Management Buea Preseason Tournament. The occasion was the semi-finals of the tournament on December 16, 2020, at the Buea Police Field.

Istanbul FA triumphed 2-0 thanks to an own goal and Ngalame Clovis sublime finish. Both sides will be meeting two months after with a lot already taking place as Istanbul FA. Since then, IFAB has suffered defeat in just one official game and it was against ISOHSA after post-match penalties.

In their last three official games, IFAB has scored six goals while keeping a clean sheet in all three games.

The boys of coach Ache Ebenezer aka Jango will have a Hercules task when they face the formidable Babungo SA side that will be coming with so much zeal to down IFAB.

Meanwhile, with a high bar already set, IFAB will be looking to maintaining the fine form that has seen them fail to concede in three games.
