Continental FA ended the first round of the Southwest Regional League in Pool A with a 100 percent record as they have won all four of their games.
The Gra Gra Boys as they are commonly called on Sunday at the Bue Municipal Stadium walloped struggling HO Academy FC of Buea 2-0 in a cracker full of tension.
HO Academy FC had the chance to take the lead at the 8th minute from the spot but Harold Nelson Gahane failed to convert the penalty. This was after the ball was stopped by goalkeeper Stephen Junior Njoke of Continental FA.
HO Academy continued to mount pressure squandering a series of chances. However, at the 24th minute, Dieudonne Younyi got the opener from a freekick when his thunderous strike couldn’t be stopped by HO Academy’s keeper Pharel Akibong.
Down by a goal, HO Academy posed a series of threats but all ended disappointingly as they failed to be realistic in front of goal.
Both sides will go on recess with the Gra Gra Boys leading 1-0.
The second half will be just like the second with HO Academy FC enjoying possession but failing to score.
Younyi will at the 80th minute find the back of the net to increase the tally to 2-0 as he gets his brace in the encounter.
The Gra Gra Boys maintained their lead as they registered their third consecutive clean sheet and fourth win in a roll.
They now sit at the top of Pool A with 12 points in four games while HO Academy FC is fourth with three points in four games.
