SW Championship: Renzo’s Brace Leads Buea United To Win Over Prisons FC

 Amih Renzo scored twice as Buea United FC came from behind to beat Prisons FC Buea 2-1 on Sunday in the Southwest Regional League at the Buea Municipal Stadium.

The first segment of the game ended 1-0 to ice an entertaining first half.

Prisons FC Buea opened the scoring at the 9th minute when Macviban Efome Lazare beat goalkeeper Jeter Shujongu Ewei to make it 1-0.

The first half will end with the Home Boys preserving their 1-0 lead to the dismay of the Buea United FC supporters.

When play will resume in the second half, Buea United FC will begin mounting pressure forcing goalkeeper Carlson Sameh Mbolem to make a series of saves to deny them the equaliser.

He made two magnificent saves to deny Clovis Ngalame from seeing his free-kicks kiss that back of the next.

However, at the 55th minute, a superb cross from Elondu Smith met Amih Renzo who slot it in to level the scoreline to 1-1.

With the scoreline even, Buea United FC continues to mount more pressure as the Prisons FC Buea side showed that they were running out of steam.

With just 10 minutes to the end of the game, an intelligent action from Clovis Ngalame will see him set Amih Renzo who struck the winner.

Goalkeeper Carlson Sameh was left helpless as Renzo’s composed finish secured three points for Buea United FC in the cracker.

When the referee sounded the final whistle, it was Buea United FC that carried the day with a 2-1 victory.

Buea United FC is now ranked second in Pool A with 9 points while Prisons FC Buea is third with 4 points in four games.
