The President Southwest Regional League side, Options Sports Academy has assisted keeper Fon Nkafu Renes with the sum of FCFA 100,000 after fire gutted his house on Wednesday night in Newtown, Limbe.

No one was injured and the cause of the fire is not yet known.

According to reports around 10pm, residents observed smoke coming from the area where the player lives and alerted the population.

Despite efforts to contain the fire the house was completely destroyed leaving Fon Nkafu homeless.

President Henry Awantoh Neba has now come to the player’s rescue as he has provided funds needed to get the player back on the rail.

” It’s in the DNA of this club to assist those in pain. Nkafu has served this club loyally. Assisting him is just the right thing to do especially with the psychological trauma of losing his house and properties.”

The club has also promised to do more in the nearest future as President Awantoh Henry puts it love and care are what he needs now.
