Members of the Limbe Old Footballers Association, LOFAS, have been told to continue to strengthen synergy and coordination, particularly as they prepare for their upcoming launching.
The appeal was made on Sunday during the group ‘thank you’ visit to the President of Limbe Football Club Association, LIFCA, Tchio Thomas who recently donated FCFA 500,000 to assist the baby association better prepare for its Official launching.
Addressing the over fifty members who turn out at his residence, President Tchio Thomas said one of the key strengths of any association is the fostering of greater synergy, minimize unwanted distractions and create a forgiving environment that prioritized the needs of the association.
” For this association to leave remarkable imprints in the sand of time, you all must learn to accommodate each other, make forgiveness part of your diet and foster greater team spirit’ he explained
” I am indeed honoured to be given the opportunity to be a Patron. And you have my sincere assurance that I will be dedicated to the cause in my role, the same way I have demonstrated my commitments over the years”. Tchio Thomas further stated.
” I found the ideals of your group extremely motivating and inspiring. It always good to give back and I am pleased LOFAS was the entity through which I could once again deliver service to our community” the President concluded.
Speaking earlier LOFAS President, Ashu Valentine thanked President Tchio for the huge cash injection especially at this tough times where humanity is globally combating the corona virus pandemic.
He further underlined that it’s not happy people who are thankful but thankful people who are happy.
He highlighted that while giant strides have been made, a lot needs to be done.
“We shouldn’t only be defined by what we do but more importantly by who we are,” he added.
He called on his members to emulate the shining example of their Patron as he puts it;
” We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”
President Tchio Thomas became the first Sports Promoter in the City of Limbe to be recognized by LOFAS for his illustrious services to the growth and development of football.
