Key stakeholders in football in the Southwest region have expressed gratitude to the national bureau of the Cameroon Football Federation for extended support in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
“This gesture by Fecafoot is a step in the right direction. Its the first time such a thing has been done in the history of Cameroon Football. Kudos to Fecafoot,” a player explained
” We salute this initiative by Fecafoot. We encourage them to carry on with the good job. May the Lord blessed their efforts,” Asongu said.
Over 520 players drawn from twenty clubs in the region on Thursday benefited from Fecafoot COVID-19 relief aid.
Speaking at the event, Southwest Fecafoot President, Dr Ndive Thomas Mulungu urged stakeholders to adhere to health security measures put in place by the government of Cameroon and the WHO to cut the spread of COVID-19.
” I urge you all to keep respecting all the measures put in place by the government and health experts. Staying safe and alive should be our primary objective at this point in time” President Dr. Ndive Thomas Mulungu explained.
He further stated that the relief package is a testament that the Federation understand the plight of the players and is keen to assist when the need arises.
He cautioned stakeholders to remain positive and discipline during this tempting period.
Items distributed include bags of rice, cartons of vegetable oil and sardine.
