Preseason: Options SA, PWD Ends In Stalemate

Ambitious Southwest Regional League side Options SA  held Elite One Champions PWD of Bamenda to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday in their first preseason friendly.Chances were few and far between and when it came both sides were clinical in the final third.

The host side drew the first blood when Peter Paul capitalised on slack defending to race into the lead. The goal didn’t affect the psychology of the contest as Coach David Pagou boys kept their composure and began asking all the right questions.

They were rewarded five minutes before the interval when Vincent Paul Ngondi leveled the scoring for the reigning champions of Cameroon.

The home side had couple of chances to increase their lead after the restart but Options SA strike force was guilty of bad misses.

PWD kept the pressure on the Limbe based side late on in the game but President Awantoh Henry Neba charges held their nerves to ensure the spoils were shared.

Options SA are busy cutting their footballing teeth ahead of the new season planned for November 7, 2020.
