Back To School: The Municipality Should Emulate Gardens Boys And Girls Forum-Mayor Eposi Mbwaye Florence

The Mayor of Limbe 1 council, Eposi Mbwaye Florence has urged the rest of the municipality to follow in the footsteps of the Gardens boys and girls forum.

She was speaking over the weekend, during the handing over of didactic materials to hundreds of children in the school going age bracket by the Gardens boys and girls forum.

The Mayor lauded the maximum positive efforts of the Gardens boys and girls forum, describing the forum as an extraordinary advocate for education. She called on the recipients to put the items to appropriate use.

This gesture from the Gardens boys and girls forum comes one week into the resumption of the new school year, Sam Udoh, a representative of the Gardens boys and girls forum encouraged the children to focus on their studies as education is the gateway to success.

This is not the first time the Gardens boys and girls forum has given back to the community. Apart from donating books, pens, rulers etc as was the case this academic year.

The Gardens boys and girls forum in partnership with the Quarter Council of Upper Mokeba Farms have erected a stand tap in their neighbourhood.

The forum has equally donated face masks and hand washing buckets to schools within Gardens in a bid to combat the coronavirus pandemic.The Forum has also Assisted members who are sick and bereaved.

The Gardens boys and Girls forum is made up of children home and abroad who were born in the quarter of Gardens.
