The Executive Council of PNEU Bota, Limbe, has revealed plans to equip the classes with latest and digital teaching aids, so as to enable and help in impacting the education of the pupils.
The revelation was made on Saturday November 11, 2023, by the Executive Council President, Albert Enoegbe Takang, during the school’s General Assembly.
According to him, incorporating the right teaching aid ideas will make lessons more interesting and attractive.
To facilitate research and the work of teachers the Executive Council has promised to connect high speed Internet in school.
While acknowledging there had been some difficulty times recently, Enoegbe Albert said the Executive Council is responding proactively and it is important for all to work together to build a bright and successful future.
The President further announced plans to decongest the classes, stressing that the reduction of the number of pupils a single teacher is taking in a class is now a major priority.
He appealed to teachers to maintain positive communication with parents for the effective follow-up of pupils. Working together, he emphasized is mutually beneficial for the child’s success.
Enoegbe thanked the teachers for services rendered so far, urging them to leave remarkable imprints in the sands of time.
According to him “A good teacher inspires hope, ignites imagination and instills a love for learning – literally shaping and changing lives. Individually, we owe much of who we are and what we have achieved to the education we received from great teachers.”
As many as 6 reports of various committees including Academic, Human Resource, Finance, Bailiff, Social and Audit were presented.
Each report contained recommendations, records of what has been done and findings.
Parents expressed satisfaction with the way the General Assembly was conducted, calling for urgent action and an internal inquiry into some of the main issues highlighted in the various reports.
The budget for the 2023/2024 academic year was presented and adopted by members of the General Assembly.
PNEU Bota will mark its 70th anniversary in 2024 and according to the Chairperson of the organizing committee, Dr Ntoko Henry, the school is planning a day of celebrations and is inviting former pupils and staff to join the occasion.
